Kirkus Review for Lost Story

Kirkus has reviewed my novel Lost Story, which came out in mid-April. It’s a good review, concluding that the novel is a “serious and insightful meditation on literature and life.”

I’m always grateful for a bit of recognition. I don’t have much game when it comes to marketing. I was going to start a newsletter, but no one ever signed up for it. Every once in awhile, I get invited by one library or another to show and do a reading or a talk. My average draw is 1 person (4 if I’m lucky). My reviews on Amazon and Goodreads seldom go over 5 readers. I’m always surprised at how various random self-published books on Amazon have 1,000 reviews a couple of days after being published. Maybe one day I too will have a fanbase. Until then, I’ll have to be satisfied with my pet cat.
