2026 at the movies, part 2

I saw The Bone Temple, the follow-up to 28 Years Later. I pretty much loved this movie. I like the self-contained “small world” nature of the storytelling. It’s a gruesome character study that changes tones many times, a strategy I happen to enjoy. But I could see how someone could hate this movie, either for its more absurdist moments or its self-indulgence.

Hats off to the soundtrack as well, with its heavy focus on Duran Duran and Radiohead. Of course, the Iron Maiden sequence will live on any viewer’s memory. Did I mention the movie’s self-indulgence?
